TOUR DESCRIPTION

You will be picked up at your Bangkok hotel and we will make straight for the Grand Palace which is situated by the mighty Chao Phraya River in the old part of Bangkok. The Grand Palace had traditionally been the seat not only of the king and his court, but contained within its walls the entire government administration. The Grand Place offers a vibrant and eclectic collection of buildings which include  the Funeral Palace, Reception Palace, Throne Hall, Coronation Hall and the Royal Guest House, mostly built in the district Thai architectural style but European influenced architecture is also on show here. The highlight of the Grand Palace complex is Wat Phra Kaew with its stunning and vibrantly colorful temple architecture. The main Ubosoth of Wat Phra Kaew contains the most revered Buddha image in Thailand , the Emerald Buddha carved from a single piece of jade. Following the Grand Palace we will make our way to the Dusit Palace complex where we will visit the old royal residence of King Rama V Vinmanmek Mansion. Vinmanmek Mansion is now a museum displaying artefact's from the life of King Rama V as well as displays of Thai handicrafts items.
